I discovered at a young age that to get to know yourself is self-empowerment. Since my teens, I struggled with memory lapses, unexplained upset stomach, substance abuse, negative self-perception, regulating my emotions, and feeling numb, just to name a few. These symptoms made me start my self-development journey, which opened the world of psychology for me and a new passion as well.

BUT the need to try to fix myself kept me in a loop for quite a while. I stayed there for a long time and got accustomed to DOING the healing instead of LIVING the healing. After a soul-crushing experience in 2020, I fell into a functional freeze state, so I was forced to dive deeper into my spirituality if I wanted to get better. Creating healthy habits like practicing mindfulness meditation, re-exploring and boosting my nutrition, using somatic exercises to heal my nervous system, and rewiring my thought pattern has been life-changing.

Because of my history and the difficulties I had, my philosophical approach emphasizes the whole rather than the sum of its parts; the whole person cannot be understood by just focusing on the mental aspects. Rather, I consider your mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health.

What I learned up until now and want to teach you is that our experiences don't define us; it's what we gain from them that matters.

A Holistic Health Coach is a trained professional who uses an integrative approach to diet and lifestyle changes to improve the health of their clients, considering various interconnected aspects of their life, including the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual dimensions.

⟡ What does holistic mean?

Holistic means encompassing the whole of a thing, and not just the part. Holistic medicine looks at the whole person for answers, not just at physical symptoms. You might have heard of holistic medicine, which tries to treat someone as mind and body, instead of treating only the part of the patient that is most sick.

⟡ What are somatic movements?

Somatic movement is any type of movement or physical activity during which you focus on the internal experience and feeling of the movement instead of what it looks like from the outside. It's about being present and aware of what is happening in the moment and synchronize your breath with the movement. Somatic movement reduces stress and regulates your nervous system.

⟡ How do you eat conscious?

Conscious eating or mindful eating includes being aware and learning to respond to your body signals of hunger, fullness, how fast one eats & what feels good to your body and what not.

The main point is to create a connection with one's body and continuously providing the body with all the necessary nutrients.

⟡ Why is the gut so important?

The gut breaks down the foods you eat and absorbs nutrients that support your body's functions. The importance of the gut to our overall health is a topic of increasing research in the medical community. Research is showing us that our gut microbiome can affect every organ in our body.

⟡ What does it mean to rewire your brain?

Neuroplasticity is the brain's ability to reorganize itself by forming new neural pathways throughout life and in response to experiences. While the brain usually does this itself in response to injury or disease, when humans focus their attention enough, they can slowly rewire these pathways themselves. Practicing mindfulness meditation, gratitude and using affirmations are great tools to start your brain rewiring journey.
